The Prieur Plastic Foil Guard provides lightweight hand coverage for young beginners learning recreational foil fencing. Made in France, it is designed specifically for use with Prieur plastic foil components, creating an approachable weapon setup for lessons, introductory programs, and recreational activities.
The guard is compatible with our Prieur Plastic Blades in size 0 (ref. LAMET0) and size 2 (ref. LAMET2). These shorter blade options are suited to younger fencers, helping them handle the weapon more comfortably while learning basic movements, distance, and blade control.
Its durable plastic construction adds minimal weight to the weapon and is built to withstand the repeated use common in fencing clubs, schools, camps, and beginner programs. The guard can be used when assembling a new plastic foil or replacing a worn or damaged component.
Good to Know:
This guard is sold as an individual component. To assemble a complete plastic foil, purchase your preferred size 0 or size 2 Prieur Plastic Blade and a compatible plastic protection tip separately. Inspect every component before use and replace any part that is cracked, loose, or damaged.
